XL2 - General-purpose Data Delivery and Traffic Analysis Adapter

The mainstream product of the X family is the XL2 adapter, which provides capabilities for advanced time-stamping, filtering, tagging and slicing. The XL2 adapter has four ports configurable as 2 electrical and 2 optical, 4 electrical or 4 optical. 

XA - High-end Data Delivery and Traffic Analysis Adapter with CAM

The high-end XA adaptor has all the features of the XL2 adapter plus an on-board CAM (Content Addressable Memory), which allows for specific bit pattern searches throughout the packet. The XA adapter has four ports configurable as 2 electrical and 2 optical, 4 electrical or 4 optical.
