8 x 1 Gbps / 10 Gbps PCIe Bypass Adapter Product: NTBPE In-line

The NTBPE is an optical bypass adapter, which provides a stand-alone failover solution for in-line applications using Napatech optical adapters.
The NTBPE adapter has two modes: Normal and Bypass. In Normal mode network packets are sent through the bypass adapter to an in-line adapter. In Bypass mode network packets flow through unattended, maintaining a transparent flow of network traffic. The NTBPE switches to Bypass mode in the event of a detected failure. The switchover can also be performed on command via software. This allows adapters to be taken out of commission for feature upgrades. The NTBPE has simultaneous support for 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps connections, and supports 4 optical network adapter ports. Two product variants are available supporting either single-mode 9 µm or multi-mode 50 µm fiber.

8-port GPS Time Synchronization Unit Product: NTTSU

The Napatech Time Synchronization Unit is used for distributing time synchronization signals to many network adapters at the same time; optionally a GPS signal can be used.
One Time Synchronization Unit can synchronize up to 8 NT adapters. Furthermore the daisy chain output interface can be connected to the daisy chain input interface of another time synchronization unit allowing time synchronization of multiples of 8 adapters at the same time.
The NTTSU can run in stand-alone mode with one network adapter as the time synchronization master or in GPS mode, connected to an external GPS antenna for high-precision time synchronization mode.
